Join the competition: Elevate Leagues

Whether you’re new to Elevate or a long-time learner, there’s a new way to stay motivated: Elevate Leagues. It turns your brain training routine into a global, friendly competition that helps you push your skills further, stay consistent, and celebrate progress every week.

Here’s everything you need to know about how Leagues work, how to earn XP, and how this update makes learning more fun than ever.

What are Elevate Leagues?

Leagues are a weekly brain training competition where you compete with other people who use  Elevate from around the world. Your performance is measured by the XP (experience points) you earn by playing games, solving puzzles, and completing workouts.

As you build XP, you’ll move up through the Leagues and see how your progress compares to others on a similar brain training journey.

In short, you’ll:

  • Compete weekly with other people on Elevate

  • Earn XP through games, puzzles, and workouts

  • Climb the ranks to see your improvement over time

How do Leagues work?

Your League placement is based on how much XP you earn during the week. Everyone starts out in the Bronze League. From there, you can rise through the ranks to the Silver, Gold, Sapphire, Ruby, Emerald, and Diamond Leagues.

Where you end the week determines what happens next. Every League has three sections:

  • Top: Move to the next League

  • Middle: Stay in the current league

  • Bottom: Drop back a League

Leagues reset every Sunday at 11:59 PM UTC, giving everyone a fresh start each week. When the new week begins, you’ll see where you placed after completing your next game, puzzle, or workout—or when you open the Leagues tab.

How do I join a League?

You’ll unlock Leagues once you’ve completed five workouts in Elevate. After that, the Leagues tab will become active. (Pro tip: playing a puzzle also counts towards unlocking Leagues.)

You’ll automatically enter a League the moment you start earning XP that week. If you haven’t completed enough workouts yet, you’ll see how many more you need before you can compete.

Once you’re in, you’ll be able to view:

  • Your current position

  • Your weekly XP

  • Competitors’ XP, streaks, and trophies

Who will I be competing with each week?

Every week, you’ll compete with others from around the world.

It’s a friendly competition that helps you learn with Elevate week after week.

What changed in the Elevate app?

Leagues come with a small Elevate app update that makes it easier to track your progress.

Here’s what’s new:

  • The Leagues tab replaces the old Performance tab

  • The Profile tab is now called Me

  • EPQ, Rankings, and Achievements live in the Me tab

This streamlined layout helps you see your performance, progress, and profile all in one place.

Why did Elevate add Leagues?

Because learning is easier when it’s motivating. Elevate Leagues give you another reason to show up, challenge yourself, and celebrate growth over time.

Leagues make it easier to:

  • Stay accountable to your learning goals

  • See real progress every week

  • Keep your training habit strong and steady

Progress comes from practice, and every bit of XP adds up.

How is this different from other leaderboards?

Leagues are designed to keep you improving without the pressure. You’ll compete with learners like you, and because rankings reset weekly, you always get a fresh start.

With Elevate Leagues, every session counts, every XP point matters, and every week is another chance to learn with Elevate.

Can I opt out of Elevate Leagues?

If competition isn’t your thing, no problem. You can opt out by going to the Me tab and tapping on the gear icon in the corner. Then go to Privacy Settings and toggle off “Profile Visibility.”

Your Elevate experience will stay the same as before.

Ready to compete?

Open the Leagues tab in your Elevate app and start earning XP today. The more you learn, the higher you’ll rise.
